Are you a passionate people leader looking to be involved in coordinating the efficient operations of the West HQ cleaning service? Do you enjoy a varied position which will keep you busy? Do you have full availability to work shifts across Monday - Thursday 2100 - 0200?

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Cleaner to step up into the position of Cleaning Supervisor.

 

What does a Cleaning Supervisor do?

 

The primary purpose of this position is to assist our Venue Managers with the supervision, training and compliance of the cleaning department while monitoring the cleanliness and presentation of the venue.

Duties could include:

  • Ensure the daily cleaning requirements are delivered safely, efficiently and consistently whilst meeting Company specifications, compliance and food safety hygiene standards
  • Organise, supervise and oversee the cleaning staff on various shifts to ensure compliance with work schedule
  • Proactively contributing to the hands-on day to day workload of the small team
  • Help manage a busy roster that operates 24/7, 365 days of the year, while fostering a committed and loyal group of employees
  • Taking sick calls and arranging for shift covers
  • Supervising and training staff all requirements of the their roles, safe equipment and chemical usage
  • Training, developing and mentoring staff, with a "leading by example" approach
  • Communicating effectively with all relevant business partners on a day to day basis
  • Coordinating and scheduling activities on the site to attain the best possible efficiency, ensuring all work performed attains or exceeds standards set by the company;
  • Managing chemical stock levels, equipment and machinery operations
  • Ensuring immaculate presentation of venue, cleaning common areas, picking up all glasses, cleaning toilets, emptying ash trays, emptying bins, vacuuming and mopping etc.
  • Proving assistance to team members with payroll and roster concerns
  • Conducting performance management meetings as required

 

Who's right for the job?

 

We are looking for an experienced cleaner with previous leadership experience. Someone who is able to cope with the duties of the role which will require you to repeatedly lift, bend, crouch, kneel, push, pull, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.

 

This role best suits someone who enjoys working as part of a team, is able to multi task, problem solve and has strong attention to detail.

 

What do you need to be considered?

 

  • Previous experience as a cleaning supervisor or team leader (preferred)
  • Highly organised and resourceful
  • Have a good eye for detail
  • Results focused attitude
  • Manage inspections and compliance by undertaking audits
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills verbal and written
  • Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to work
  • Must have current RSA Competency Card (or be willing to obtain one)
  • A helpful and friendly attitude
  • An understanding of roster processes
  • Sound computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet)
  • Flexibility towards work and role
  • Demonstrated can-do attitude
  • Willingness to work a 24/7 roster with a variety of shifts including; mornings, afternoons, nights, over nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Clear Performance history for 12 months (internal applicants only)
