This role is a fantastic opportunity to explore a new role while staying within West HQ. At the end of the secondment, you’ll return to your current position—unless the secondment is extended or a permanent opportunity arises (which may be possible for the right candidate).

 

 

About the role

 

As the Events Executive, you will support the end-to-end coordination of events. This role offers great exposure to working cross-functionally, managing logistics, and helping to shape memorable experiences for our stakeholders.

 

 

In this position you will:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of a variety of events.
  • Use your organisational skills to align the logistics and operational requirements for each event, including coordinating services, such as: facilities, catering, signage, displays, audiovisual equipment, accommodation etc
  • Manage event timelines, budgets, and post-event evaluations.
  • Ensure all events align with company values, brand guidelines, and health & safety requirements.
  • Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth execution.
  • Display a high level of communication and consultation ability by working in harmony with key stakeholders to develop elements of an event
  • Demonstrate customer focus by providing a high level of customer service and answering inquiries in a timely manner (email, phone, face to face)
  • Show your problem solving ability by identifying and rectifying issues
  • Display initiative by suggesting ideas and taking ownership of events

 

What do you need to be considered?

  • Experience in event coordination or a keen interest in event management (previous experience in a similar role is advantageous).
  • Demonstrated administrative abilities. 
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Superior communication skills, written, verbal and personal presentation.
  • Ability to build relationships quickly with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and can juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Intermediate I.T skills
  • Availability to work office hours Monday to Friday.
  • Availability to provide support/coverage for events if required (weekends or nights)
