Are you an experienced cleaner with strong leadership skills and a passion for maintaining high standards? We are currently seeking a Leading Hand to oversee daily cleaning operations and support the team in their day-to-day work. About the role: This position plays a key role in assisting our Supervisors and Cleaning Manager with supervision, training, and compliance across the cleaning department. You’ll help ensure the venue is always clean, safe, and presentable. Duties include: - Assist the Supervisor with coordinating the daily cleaning operations, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and high-quality manner.
- Lead the cleaning team, providing guidance, oversight and support to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met
- Ensure that all areas, as detailed within the work schedule, are clean and fit for purpose, in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’S), and / or as directed.
- Coordinate daily cleaning schedules and delegate tasks
- Conduct regular site checks and report any issues
- Act as a point of contact for team members, providing hands on support and guidance throughout their shift.
- Train and support staff all requirements of their roles, safe equipment and chemical usage
- Maintain and ensure cleaning equipment is in good working order, reporting any faults or maintenance needs to the Cleaning Supervisor.
- Maintain WHS standards and ensure safe work practices
- Undertake both routine and specialised cleaning duties as required.
Our Perfect Fit: Will be an experienced cleaner who is able to cope with the duties of the role which will require you to repeatedly lift, bend, crouch, kneel, push, pull, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. This role best suits someone who enjoys working as part of a team, is able to multi task, problem solve and has strong attention to detail. - Ability to work a 24/7 roster with a variety of shifts including; mornings, afternoons, nights, over nights, weekends and public holidays.
