About the role:

The primary purpose of this position is to undertake upkeep and repair tasks for both the interior and exterior of the buildings on our precinct. 

Duties could include:

• Undertake aspects of the carpentry trade, including reactive and planned maintenance
• Provide efficient and effective customer service
• General repairs and maintenance throughout a broad range of areas within the buildings (painting, tiling, plastering, minor plumbing, concreting, fencing)
• Perform maintenance and light repairs
• Get quotes, schedule and assist tradespeople with required jobs
• Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks 
• Identify and report the need for major repairs
• Ensuring safety compliance
  
  

About you!

You will be an experienced, well presented Handyman who holds their work quality to a high standard and takes pride in a job well done.  This role best suits someone who enjoys working as part of a team, is able to multi task, problem solve and has strong attention to accuracy and detail.

What do you need to be considered?

• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform desirable
• Trade Certificate in Carpentry is desirable
• Strong, effective communication skills (written & verbal)
• Exceptional organisational, communication, time management and customer service skills 
• Have a good understanding of building maintenance
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Previous experience in a resort, commercial maintenance, remedial and construction preferred
• Ability to safely operate tools and equipment
• A current "C" class drivers licence
• Motivation, enthusiasm and a can-do attitude
• Must be willing to undertake a pre-work medical & police check If successful
• Possess the physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying
