About the role

 

As the Kitchen Hand Supervisor, you will lead and support the stewarding team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations.

 

You will help ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas are clean, hygienically maintained and ready to support smooth kitchen service.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the stewarding team during daily operations
  • Train team members, delegate tasks and assist with roster changes as required
  • Wash kitchen equipment, utensils and dishes
  • Maintain a constant supply of clean kitchen materials
  • Ensure kitchen and back-of-house areas are clean and hygienic
  • Mop floors, remove garbage and clean wash-up areas
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Follow PPE, WHS and safe work procedures
  • Ensure safe manual handling practices are followed
  • Liaise with kitchen teams and other departments across West HQ

What do you need to be considered?

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a large-scale hospitality or kitchen environment
  • Availability across a 7-day roster, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
  • Rostering and ordering knowledge
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Good manual handling skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience handling cleaning chemicals and knowledge of MSDS
  • Full Australian working rights
