Duty/Venue Manager - Full Time

As a Venue Manager at West HQ, you’ll be trusted to make high-stakes decisions, lead by example, and set the tone for our team, customers, and the broader venue experience. Your leadership will be vital in upholding our reputation for operational excellence, safety compliance, and outstanding service delivery. This isn’t just a management role - it’s a critical leadership position at the heart of everything we do.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Handle escalated customer concerns and on-site incidents with authority and professionalism, resolving matters swiftly while protecting our brand and values.
  • Be the frontline enforcer of operational, legislative, and regulatory standards, ensuring 100% compliance and accountability across the board.
  • Oversee the appearance and performance of all club staff and club facilities, ensuring that a high standard is maintained at all times to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Deliver professional customer service to maintain and retain members, creating a welcoming atmosphere and fostering long-term relationships with our valued customers.
  • Administer first aid when needed and take the lead in reporting and investigating incidents and injuries, contributing to a culture of safety and care.
  • Oversee the appearance and performance of both team and venue, ensuring that every corner of the space reflects the high standards our guests expect and deserve.
  • Lead by example, proactively communicate and reinforce operational, legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • RSA Marshall and RGO responsibilities.

 

What you will need to be considered? 

 

  • Previous experience in a similar role within hospitality or entertainment.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a strong ability to resolve conflict and make sound, confident decisions under pressure.
  • Natural problem-solver and hands-on operator who leads from the floor.
  • Current RSA, RCG, and Advanced RCG certifications.
  • Valid First Aid, CPR and Advanced Resuscitation Certificates (desirable)
  • Relevant Diploma / Degree qualifications (desirable).
  • NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Willingness to work a roster with a variety of shifts including; mornings, afternoons, nights, over nights, weekends and public holidays.
