About the Role:

 

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with existing clients and identifying new business opportunities. This includes proactive sales activities to convert new business, foster long-term partnerships, and maximise revenue for the hotel. You will play a pivotal role in building our brand, driving revenue, and ensuring the continued success of our hotel’s operations.

 

This role will require you to:

  • Manage and develop relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and maintaining strong, long-term partnerships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your network, market knowledge, and proactive sales efforts.
  • Undertake direct sales activity including prospecting, lead generation, and meetings with potential clients.
  • Use CRM and database management tools to track and manage sales leads, customer interactions, and conversion rates.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximise revenue, including cross-selling hotel services and upselling packages.
  • Ensure all client requests and business transactions are handled promptly and efficiently.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets, contributing to the overall hotel revenue goals.
  • Keep abreast of market trends, competition, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.

 

You will have:

  • Proven success in a fast-paced sales environment, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Strong ability to close deals and build long-term client relationships.
  • Proficiency in database management and CRM tools.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and presentation
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify market trends and capitalise on emerging opportunities.
  • Familiarity with Accor’s systems, loyalty programs, and sales platforms (e.g., ANAIS) is advantageous.
  • Flexibility – we’re a 24/7 business, and we need someone who work outside the usual 9am-5pm to accommodate our busy periods.
  • Full Australian Work Rights.
  • RSA Competency Card.
